“On your friends page, rather than seeing the entries normally, you may only see the subject or first few words of each entry and a link to the entry,” sez LiveJournal FAQ, so a fuller version of the entry may not be possible. I’ve also noticed that the RSS feed may take at least two hours or so to update, making tweaking this by trial-and-error somewhat difficult.
